When LucasArts expressed interest in an expansion, the folks at Petroglyph already had a few ideas in mind. Today we're going to cover the basic set up for the new campaign, the general strategies and abilities of the new faction, and talk about some of the general improvements the expansion brings. In the interest of equal time, we'll also devote some space to examining the new toys that the Rebel and Imperial players get in the new expansion. We'll examine their overall background and aims, who their heroes are and what types of units they can command. In the coming weeks we're going to offer up an extensive, multipart look at the new Zann Consortium faction. Having visited with the game's creators at Petroglyph Games last week (and snagged our very own build), we're excited to see the series moving forward in some unexpected directions. Not only are we getting the theatrical versions of the original trilogy on DVD and the much anticipated LEGO Star Wars sequel but we've also finally been given the opportunity to play through the upcoming Star Wars: Empire at War expansion, Forces of Corruption. It's a heck of a good week for Star Wars.
